Defensive Team Tactics Course

2-day combatives is taught by an outside agency. Instructors are tier 1 operators with many years of experience. This course teaches how environment effects tactics. Time will be spent on unarmed striking, blade tactics, and how to deal with multiple attackers. Students will learn team fighting tactics for when you're with other trained individuals. Students apply these tactics in vehicles, extreme close quarters, darkness, and other environments. Day two will end with realistic training scenarios to pull all the skills together. This two-day course is packed with basics that will make you more effective on the street. It will provide a solid foundation for unarmed combatives. Topics include cultivating a combative mindset, building power and explosiveness while striking, countering common street attacks, and weapon disarms. This is an intense two days of combatives meant to push your limits and leave you with a reliable, easily retained and recalled skill set. There will be full After Action Reviews of each scenario to make sure everyone understands and learns how to go home a better and more effective fighter.

This combatives course is also modified to train students with firearms. Concentrating on retention and employment.

Close Quarters Marksmanship (CQM)

The Close Quarters Marksmanship (CQM) Course is a 2-day/1 night program, held at TBA, Montana.

The focus of the course addresses two key areas. First the student operator needs to rapidly and accurately engage targets at 0-150 meters under normal conditions. Second the function the student operator as a member of a team. How the individual interacts organically within a team element and operates effectively to complete a mission. The program begins with the fundamentals of marksmanship and progresses to more rapid and accurate target engagements employing both the individual as a lone operator with rifle and pistol and as a member of a team. The skills that a student operator can expect to learn include but are not limited to:

    • Fundamentals as they apply to CQM (sight picture, sight alignment, trigger control)
    • Grouping
    • Understanding ballistics at close range
    • Weapons and equipment set up
    • Individual and team immediate action drills (malfunctions, transitions, react to ambush, initiate action, recon, make a plan, etc.)
    • Rapid and effective manipulation of individual weapon system for reloads and positioning and operating crew served platforms
    • Supported and unsupported position shooting
    • Single and multiple target engagements as an individual and as a member of a team
    • Shooting on the move from close to intermediate ranges to include team tactics (bounding, flanking, peeling, stacking, clearing,etc.)
    • Effective employment of barricades as both in offense and defense
    • Pistol marksmanship as it applies to CQM (edge weapons covered to)
    • Transition from the rifle to the pistol (primary to alternate weapon)
    • Shooters will learn how to analyze/self critique their performance in order to identify areas for self improvement as conducted by AAR

 

4 Day Handgun/Urban Rifle Team (HURT) Course

Course Description
This course is a modest reduction of the regular three classes that then allows for students to be introduced to both weapon systems. The first two days will cover Defensive Handgun followed by two days addressing the Urban Rifle. Basic tactics are addressed in the course. The intent of this format is for clients to gain skills and to grasp compatible techniques for both systems. This allows for solid exposure for handgun, rifle and tactics while attending the course.
Ammunition nominal 400 pistol / 400 rifle.
